Usage

Create templates from existing stories to save time by prefilling new stories with frequently used data.

Create a template

Once this App is enabled, a new story menu appears: “Copy as template”. It is available for Team members, ScrumMasters and Product Owners. It creates a template from an existing story and copies most of its fields and items (description, feature, tasks, acceptance tests…).

Create a story from a template

Anyone having the permission to create stories can choose to prefill them from an existing template. After the story is created, prefilled fields can be updated at will.

Delete templates

Product Owners can delete story templates from the “New story” form.

Update a template

Story templates cannot be updated. To work around this limitation, you can create a story from the template you want to update, update the story according to your needs, create a new template from the story and delete the former template.
