    …in other words, are notifications proven to be working on the latest official Docker image, v. 7.8.2?

    Thanks in advance for your help,

    Hi Alessandro,

    What was not working is the email notification settings in the user profile. They are indeed fixed since iceScrum 7.6 (https://www.icescrum.com/blog/icescrum-v7-6/) on all platforms, including Docker.

    Hi Nicolas,

    I tried configuring the usage of a passwordless SMTP server during the first run of the application and, for some reason, the configuration failed despite the fact that SMTP was up and running and I had entered «mail.smtp.auth=false» in the «Technical Settings» field. I have managed to finish the initial configuration by leaving mail notifications disabled. I have then updated the config.groovy file at a later time, but the configuration of email notifications is not accessible from the UI (only the «Personal Information» and «API Tokens» tabs are shown).

    N.B.: The application logs seem to be clean.

    Is there a way to activate email-related functionalities as a post-installation step?

    Thanks in advance for your help,
    Alessandro Cerioni

    Hi Alessandro,

    The configuration can be done through manual modification of config.groovy, see https://www.icescrum.com/documentation/config-groovy/#settings_4.

    Be sure to add:
    icescrum.debug.enable = true
    an restart your server to get detailed logs.

    As an alternative, post installation config is available in the UI from the administration account but only with a paying license: https://www.icescrum.com/documentation/server-administration/

    You can ask for a free 14 days free trial license from your account
    https://www.icescrum.com/documentation/license-activation/
    It will give you the time to configure your email settings properly (with a test button that should fill the logs in case of errors) and also give you the ability to try other paying features. At the end of the license, iceScrum will keep working normally.
