"Format Error" in exported Project

Hi,

i want to move a project from one IceScrum Instance with HSQLDB to a instance with MySQL. My plan was to export and import the project. The export did work fine but the import does not work.

The error message is « Error. The backup has the wrong format ». I use IceScrum Server R6#13. In the log files I didn’t find anything.

I have many « urgent tasks » in my project. Is this still a problem with export/import? As far as I can see I use the same UTF-8 Encoding in both instances.

Can anybody help me?

Hi,

You may enable the debug logging level (see https://www.icescrum.com/documentation/install-guide/#settings_4) and try again in order to get relevant information in log files (icescrum.log and catalina.out).

Here are all the known cases that may raise the format error:
– Several stories share the same name (ignoring case and leading / trailing white spaces)
– Several tasks that belong to a same story share the same name (ignoring case and leading / trailing white spaces)
– No Scrum Master in the team
– No Product Owner in the team (in some cases)
– Non-standard UTF-8 characters in textual fields
– Target database not configured with the proper encoding / collation
– The admin user is in the team (in some cases)
